The Group
Born in 1998, Isulatine joins together Antoinette d' Angeli, Elisabeth Andreani, Letizia Giuntini, Maryline Pietrucci and Pascale Landolfini. These four young women resulting from the traditional song or the jazz already sang together in various formations around the same passion for the song. As lets it predict the name of the group (Isula+latine), their repertory testifies to a will of opening and is composed of a pallet of interpreted songs, for the majority “has capella”. Their album “Sogni d' Aprile” recorded in April 2003 contains 14 titles, of creations in Corsican language and the traditional songs from here or besides. These songs want to be a glance on the company of today. A very particular place is made to the children through the “nanne” but also of creations as “Figliolu di will guerra” or “Aprile”. “Our attachment towards our ground results in the whole of the album, thus wanting, in all humility, to create a strong link between our tradition, of the songs which will be always anchored in us and a constant creativity in Corsican language”.
