It is in the south of Corte, after having crossed Venaco then Vivario which the forest of Vizzavona begins, one of the most beautiful stages of the island.
The forest is one of most beautiful of the island, and is attended by the tourists since the XIX ème century thanks to the opening of the line of the small train which crosses the ridge edge by a tunnel of 4 km of which boring with taken more than seven years.
