The cascade of Piscia di Gallu

The cascade of the fir tree offers 60 meters of water fall, it is the most vertiginous cascade of the island.

      One reaches the site by the secondary road n° 368. To height of the stopping of Ospedale, to count 1 km, then on your line a path will lead you to the cascade of Piscia di Gallu.

      The path is very well marked out, of in bottom one sees the cascade which offers its pink granite walls polished, the whole in a landscape strewn with rock blocks.

      The cascade of Piscia di gallu to a drop height from approximately 60 meter. Before the construction of the stopping of Ospedale, the cascade was less beautiful, because it offered only one thin filament of water. Today with its more important flow, the cascade offers its vertiginous fall to the great pleasure of the hikers and followers of the canyoning.

      It is advised to come to the autumn where for spring, and to avoid the crowd of this high tourist place, it will be advisable to choose for one day canyoning. For the excursion which takes 2 hours outward journey/return, to envisage good shoes, the last part is short but very dangerous, the beauty of the site, where water dug in the rock of vast pots with calm water, is worth the sorrow of it.
