Lhas valley of Asco is as important
in the heart of the hikers as its two neighbors, the valley of
Restonica and Tavigniano.
Lhas valley of Asco offers completely
astonishing landscapes in throats. By taking the road, without
return, you will see the village of Asco blôti at the bottom of the
mountain with its unimportant bell-tower beside the mountains.
You will be conquered by this small village where the traditions
remained intact and omnipresent.
Ensuite the hiker enters the most
mountainous part and most wild of this route, with the forest of pines
of Carrozzica. It will pousuivra towards the plate of Caldane
and will arrive at the haut-Asco to 1450 m of altitude. Refuge
of the raptors, where one meets the majority of the species present in
the island, you will have with a little chance, the advisability of
seeing the Masters of the airs, (golden eagle, gypaëte, etc...).
Prear the road, the point nearest to
the roof of Corsica, one sees opposite, Assembles-Cinto it who rises
to 2710 m of altitude. It is as in the haut-Asco as one arrives
on the traces of the GR. 20 which circumvents Assembles-Cinto it.
For the amateurs of climbing, a path leaves towards the node
Cinto in the forest Carrozzica, you will take on the left then will
make ten Kms aprés the village of Asco. One passes Manica, at
an altitude of 1800 meters.
